I approach therapy wholeheartedly, with curiosity, creativity and compassion. My intention is to provide a space where people can come as they are and feel supported without judgment or expectation… a place to gain insight, to build on self-trust, and make lasting change. This is aligned with the feedback that I receive from clients.
I work with adults and adolescents, both virtually and in-person from a peaceful, private office in the Oakland Hills. Sessions are typically 55 mins, once per week. I do not currently take insurance, but can provide a monthly super bill to submit to your insurance provider.
Generally, I start with a (complimentary) 30 min. consultation

ABOUT ME
Throughout this life I have sought a deeper understanding of this great mystery we are living. Through experiences and teachings I’ve come to believe that it is through connection with ourselves, with others, with nature, art and spirit that we are best able to heal and thrive. Therapy provides a unique opportunity for transformation, while away from the complexities of daily life. In this safe space you can explore what your heart & your gut are telling you, and honor the wisdom that is innate in you. This wisdom may feel lost or unavailable at times, but with guidance, I have faith that the change you seek is within your reach. I do this work because I believe in the transformational effects of compassion, presence, and community. Listening without judgment is a simple yet uncommon art that I am called to offer. Within this framework, a path toward change becomes clearer, more possible.
My license is in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT # 135429). I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University. As a holistic practitioner, I believe in the profound healing properties of nature, movement, community, and art. These are commonly part of my process with clients.
Along with my education and experience, it is the school of life that most informs my practice. My experiences as a parent, partner, sister, student, business owner, daughter and friend are my greatest teachers.
HOW I PRACTICE
There are many factors that contribute to positive outcomes in therapy. Compatibility is important. Please take a look at the approaches that inform my work, and reach out if you are curious to learn more.
Relational therapy is compassionate, open-minded and honest.
Transpersonal therapy allows space for spiritual and energetic awareness to inform and unfold.
Psychodynamic theory explores connections between the past, present (and therefore the future). When we examine relational experiences, we can discover how they shape our choices and serve to create beliefs, behaviors and patterns.
Existential therapy highlights and explores our sense of agency, and how the choices that we make will influence the direction of our lives.
Somatic therapy explores the ways that the body retains information & experiences. What was once protective may be stifling freedom and connection.
Eclectic therapy takes shape through an intuitive weaving of modalities along with Internal Family Systems (IFS) language & Attachment theory.
